Have Dat?

When my son Michael was just 17 months old he began to point at whatever he thought he wanted and say, "Have dat?"
Soon, in the insatiable way of children, he began to point at more and more things, and his "Have dat?" became more of a command than a request.
One night when Michael and I were sitting out on the deck, admiring a gorgeous full moon, I had to admit that things were getting a little out of hand.
Michael sat up straight in my lap, pointed at the luminous orb, and firmly demanded, "Have dat!"
